A Quick Update on Manufacturing
over 2 years ago – Wed, Oct 13, 2021 at 08:41:58 PM

Hey Slashers,

It's been a bit since our last update so we wanted to check in with some very quick updates.

MPCs

We've received MPCs for Hallow's Eve Expansion and the Snack Attack Pack. They look great and have both been approved, which means those are now being packed up.

However, Mixtape Massacre: Director's Cut and the Mini Pack are still going through the manufacturing process. Because of the plastic knives and minis, it's a little slower on getting the molds, cases, etc in order for that. We're hoping to have MPCs in the next couple of weeks (fingers crossed) and of course we will update you the second they are received.

YouTube / GEGGHead

Freddie recently was in LA and was invited to do not one, but two playthroughs with the team at GEGGHEAD. Even cooler, one of the special guests playing with us was Christine Elise (Childs Play 2, 90210, Chucky).

You can check out that video below for a preview of Mixtape Massacre: Director's Cut.

Please note both the game and minis are PPC versions of the components and therefore have been updated since this play through (minis have increased in size for example).

FLOAT: From the Deep

Also if you're interested, be sure to check out our upcoming Kickstarter Project, FLOAT: From the Deep. It'll be arriving in 3 weeks on Kickstarter, November 3rd.

That's going to do it for this update. We'll have more to come next month. Until then, everyone have an awesome October and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Revised Plastics / Rewards Photos
over 2 years ago – Sat, Sep 11, 2021 at 10:42:43 PM

Hey Slashers,

We know some of you have been asking for an update. Please remember we try to keep updates to a minimum by only posting when we have new information pertaining to the project, and today we do. We'll go through a couple of updates concerning plastics and shipping and then provide a nice photo update of everything we've received. Let's begin...

Revised Plastics

We received the latest versions of the miniatures as well as the knife.

  • If you saw our post in the Facebook group, you saw the latest version of the minis standing next to the original versions. Suffice to say, they've grown in size and we've very happy with them. These have been approved and are moving to molding/manufacturing
  • The knife has also been an incredible upgrade from the previous version. As you'll see below in the pictures, the details in the handle as well as on the knife are great. The only issue with the current sample was the holes were a tad too small for the pegs. Our manufacturer has told us this is a pretty straightforward issue with samples and will be resolved as they move the knives into molding and manufacturing.

So the great news, is we're finished with all plastics and they are all off to manufacturing.

Shipping & Freight

As some people have reached out to us with concerns to shipping and freight, there's really no concerns to have except things are moving slower. We can tell you from our restock experience these last couple months, things are backed up at the ports, and therefore, things that would usually take a week or two to be received are now taking 3 - 4 weeks. Anyone who's backed other Kickstarter know this is a global issue, so we're just rolling with it like everyone else. If this has any effect on us receiving rewards in December, you'll be the first to know.

Now let's get to the fun...

Product Photos

Look at the wood grain on that knife handle...

And that's going to do it for this update. Our next update will be when we receive the MPCs of all the rewards. Those will the final manufactured versions of everything, meaning after those are approved, everything will be packed and shipped our way.

In other news...

FLOAT: From the Deep

In case you missed it, we just announced our next Kickstarter for our brand new aquatic horror survival game, FLOAT: From the Deep. Learn more about it at the website and be sure to follow its social channels for all the latest previews and updates.

Have a great weekend, Slashers!

PPC Approved
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 09, 2021 at 09:54:29 PM

Hey Slashers!

Here's another killer update to start your week. All PPCs (Mixtape Massacre: Director's Cut, Hallow's Eve Expansion, and the Snack Attack Killer Pack) have been approved. All revised files have been submitted and approved and we are now ready to print.

We're still awaiting final samples of the plastics, and once those are approved, mass production will be in full swing.

But for now... how about another photo dump. This time, the Hallow's Eve Expansion and the Snack Attack Killer Pack. We even included some our Pumpkin Dice in the Hallow's Eve photo to show just how well everything goes together for the Halloween Theme.

Please note these photos are of the PPC versions of the products. Final product may have some changes and look a bit smoother.

And that will be our update for this week. Hoping to receive the new plastic samples soon so we can show those off for you. We're so excited for this all to be finalized and moving into mass production.

Have a great week, Slashers!

Pre-Press & Plastic Samples: Part V
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 02, 2021 at 09:44:15 PM

Hey Slashers!

Thought we'd start the week off with a fun update. Below you're going to find a bunch of photos from the PPC version of Mixtape Massacre: Director's Cut. As this is the PPC, these are not the final version of the pieces, but should give you a pretty good idea of what the final product will look like.

Photo Dump

All revised print files have been submitted, so we should be looking to finalize all files by the end of this week and then begin manufacturing.

Plastics

We're going through one more round of edits on the plastic samples. The samples we received of the minis looked very good (and detailed). A couple minor edits were provided to the manufacturer to finalize them and the plastic knives, so hopefully once we receive those samples, we can do a showcase like the above for them for you all to see, but for now, here's a little preview of the first mini samples we received:

Keep in mind, the final version of these will also have a wash done on them to bring out the details even more...

That's going to do it for this update. Hopefully in the next update, we'll be sending everything off to manufacturing.

Have a good week, Slashers!

Pre-Press & Plastic Samples: Part IV
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jul 16, 2021 at 08:43:33 PM

Happy Friday, Slashers!

Before we leave for the weekend we wanted to provide you with a quick update. We have just received PPC samples of all the printed items. Note, these are the PPC, meaning their handcrafted samples for us to review and make sure printing and sizing looks correct. Once these are approved and finalized, we'll then ready for manufacturing and receive an MPC, which is the actual manufactured copy of the game everyone will receive.

So much bloody goodness...

We'll be spending the next week reviewing everything we have received thus far, making notes, and edits where needed.

Things We Have Received for Review:

  • Mixtape Massacre: Director's Cut (MMDC) Box and Printed Components
  • Hallow's Eve Box and Printed Components
  • Slasher Mini Pack Box
  • Snack Attack Killer Pack Printed Components
  • Kickstarter Exclusive Killer Scene and Supply Cards

Things We Are Waiting On:

  • Snack Attack Killer Pack Foil Packaging
  • MMDC: Plastic Knives
  • Miniatures

We're told these should be shipping to us sometime next week for review.

Next Steps:

As we said, we'll be reviewing the items we currently have in hand. From a quick glance there's a couple quick edits we want to make to some of the files, but nothing glaring. In all honesty, everything looks and feels pretty awesome, so we're looking forward to taking a closer look and getting these finalized for manufacturing.

As we start to review the PPC, we'll definitely have another update with some pics of the items inside, set-up. Hopefully by then, we'll also have the plastic samples to show off. It's definitely exciting to have this all in hand so fast and things moving along at a great pace.

Mental Health and Horror Fundraiser

Have a great weekend, Slashers. More to come.
